Evangelism/Outreach Ministry

The purpose of the Evangelism/Outreach Ministry is to move forward the work of service that Jesus Christ began with the original twelve disciples. Jesus came to seek out, and save, that which is lost. The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that wins souls is wise (Proverbs 11:30).

Through evangelism we proclaim the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ; we also help pastor and leaders mobilize people to win the souls back to Christ. Through community outreach, we help people as we go; while reminding them that the Light of Glory still shines in the earth, even in this day.  Where there is light, there is hope, and there is a straight path that leads to the light; a path wherein darkness will never prevail, and where darkness can never hide (Matthew 4:16-17; John 8:12).

The primary focus of the Evangelism/Outreach Ministry is to reach out to individuals and communities to:

  • Spread the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ in every community.

  • Teach others about God and Christ, and about the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

  • Help communities develop a closer personal relationship with God, and Christ.

  • Bring knowledge, and the truth of God's word, into every community.

  • Teach communities more about the commandments of Jesus Christ.

  • Help every community develop a working knowledge of how we all fit into God's divine plan.

  • Provide basic relief or services to individuals and communities.

  • Help encourage, reassure, and confirm the love of God through Christ our Lord, in every community.

According to Ephesians 4:11-16; God gave evangelists to the church as one of the five-fold ministry gifts for the purpose of:

  • For the perfecting of the saints,

  • For the work of the ministry,

  • And for the edifying of the body of Christ.

Mission Statement

New Genesis Church Evangelism/Outreach/Discipleship Ministry is a ministry of believers committed to reaching, serving, and impacting communities everywhere; by demonstrating God’s Love through Jesus Christ.

Vision Statement

We envision communities united in love, transformed in heart, and empowered in the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of the truth of the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

When people pray, things happen! Except for God's grace, prayer is the most abundant, and underused, resource available to the church.  Where prayer has been emphasized, the church has grown. "Ask, and it will be given you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who seeks finds, and everyone who knocks, the door will be opened (Matthew 7:7-8).”

What do we understand about prayer?

Know your God given gifts (Galatians 5:22-23)?

For community outreach, sign up as a volunteer to help with programs and events. To become a part of the evangelism team, sign up to be a member of the team.

Through your donations and gifts we are able to reach people and communities in our nation and around the world; providing help and assistance to those who are in need.  In Luke 10:25-37, the Samaritan gave aid to the man who was in need; not because he had to, but because he saw the need: and his heart compelled him to give of what he had to help the man.  Love involves helping those who, for whatever reason, cannot help themselves; without regard to who they are or where they come from.

If you have a heart to serve the Lord Jesus Christ, in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), please contact Faith Smith to sign up as a member of the Evangelism Ministry team.
